We are excited to announce that David Fowkes Jewellery have completed the Kilimanjaro Pendant in support of our first fundraising climb.
The tanzanite gemstone was sourced from Tanzania, flown to Germany to be handcut by artisan cutter, Alexander Kreis. It was flow to the UK, where David designed a stunning pendant and Giles Seddon, Master Goldsmith, turned the design into a reality.
The gemstone is set in 18ct white gold, and features a run of round brilliant diamonds. It was sent to Birmingham for hallmarking, Bath for professional photography, and is now sat in Rona’s rucksack waiting to fly to Tanzania via Ethiopia! The pendant will make its way to the summit of Kilimanjaro safely encased in a Stow compass case! Stow have generously sponsored the climb by donating this case, a gorgeous letter case in their signature orange colouring.
Rona and the pendant will return to the UK at the end of the month, and the pendant will be on display in the David Fowkes gallery at Thoresby Park. The pendant will be on sale for £9,999 and David has generously offered to donate a percentage of the sale to our charity.
Rona flies to Ethiopia this evening, and on to Tanzania tomorrow. Watch this space for her updates!
